Current PROJECTS

One Foundation, Many Dreams

Working on multiple fronts, here you'll find our initiatives that are currently in development.

Quake In Europe
Kick-starting foundation activities hands-on (TBA)

The year? 1996. "Quake eclipsed the competition" (Ahoy). Nearly 30 years later, an old game still inspires and puzzles its enthusiasts based on how extreme the game is and how challenging its tournaments can be. Not frightened by its shear savagery and required accuracy, players still compete today. Our foundation, as fearless as the own game players, is willing to take part and bring Portuguese-speaking players to compete between the bests in Europe.

Know Your Heroes – Podcast
A revision of e-sports history and evolution (exp. 2024)

Since the rise of e-sports in the early 2000s, Brazilians cyberathletes have seen high and lows. A series of podcasts proposes to interview and understand what have changed in over 25 years of e-sports through the eyes of the stars and backstage members themselves.

Check E-Sports Club
The resurrection of a youth dream (exp. 2024/25)

Founded in 2009, the Check ESC was idealized as a multi-gaming organization planned to collect sponsors and provide incentives so players could compete on high level in various events of the e-sports scene. With only a few years of activity focused in DotA Allstars, the team saw during the subprime crisis a massive disencouragement from the tech sponsors that once sustained the scene. The team was deactivated in 2011 but is now planning to return as the flagship competition team of the BPX Foundation.
Future Activities

Liga Nacional de Dota
The long-awaited return of a legendary league

With a total of 7 editions, was the only league to ever offer money prizes, offer full media coverage (blogging, shoutcasting and streaming) and never charge an entry fee. On its last edition (2011), the league counted with the participation of 256 teams with over 2000 players registered. It was then decided that the league would be put to sleep until a more propicious moment arised again.

Aracaju Mind Sports Festival
From the sun and sand to the digital (exp. 2025.2)

In the heart of the infertile land of the Brazilian Northeast region, local players can finally see a chance to compete for awards and recognition. The event is planned to be funded by Rouanet Law from the federal Ministry of Culture. When approved, tournaments of games like Counter-Strike, Valorant, Rainbow Six, Dota 2 and League of Legends will see the strong light of the Brazilian sun and feel its sandy breeze. Offline mind sports like Chess and Magic: The Gathering are also planned.

Quake In The Air
A Brazilian experiment in Sweden (postponed 2026)

Since dial-up connection days, geographically locked and limited by high latency for almost 30 years, talented Brazilian players never had a chance to compete with Quake stars around the world. For the first time, an organization proposes to fly top players to world's most renowed Quake competition: QHLan, in Stockholm, Sweden. Accompained by a coach and a camera crew, Brazilian Quakers finally have the chance to show the world their talent.
